Here's the after shot:
Here's the harvest!
My broccoli seedlings have sprouted, which meant I had to bring the shelves back upstairs for the growing season. I moved my Pineapple tomato plant in there as well so that I could lower the Aerogarden lights back down after I cut the lettuce. As of today, all but two of the cells have at least one of the broccoli seeds sprouted! I was unable to get a sub job today, so it looks like I've got plenty of time to do some more planning!
If you want to see what everyone else is harvesting, head over to Daphne's Dandelions to check it out!
WOW what a tiny cup for such a huge harvest. :-) Looks wonderful and fresh.
ReplyDeleteBarbie- that's funny, I read the comment and couldn't figure out what cup you're talking about! That's a full sized salad plate, and it has the lettuce leaves completely laid flat. I guess the perspective is a little strange in the photo! It was delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat lettuce harvest looks amazing! Nice job on the seedlings to sprout!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to compliment you on the tomato plant - it looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI started my lettuce finally today! I had to laugh at your tomato, it's beautiful but pretty big for February, what are you going to do with it LOL? Try an indoor tomato!! :)
ReplyDeletemeemsnyc- Thanks! It's just a fun time of year, getting to watch everything emerge again!
ReplyDeleteEG- Thank you very much! The undersides are completely purple... it's just too cold in my house, but I think it's coming along nicely otherwise.
Erin- Way to go on your lettuce! I'll have to do that soon for the outdoor garden I guess! The tomato is VERY big for February! :( It was a mistake! (if you read back, it was an unfortunate seed saving disaster!) I'm going to use it to root suckers from later in the season. There is NO way that I can maintain this plant until May! Fortunately, this is the LAST tomato plant to put out blossoms and tomatoes from the varieties that I've planted. Don't worry, I won't be planting the rest of my tomatoes for at LEAST another week or two... :)
Everything is coming along nicely and your indoor harvest of lettuce looks quite yummy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty harvest. I can't wait for the ground to thaw, but it looks like you don't wait at all.
ReplyDeletekitsapFG- Thanks! The lettuce was perfect!
ReplyDeleteDaphne- Thanks! This is the first time I've not had to wait. Kind of eases that itch to plant things to early in my house! (Pineapple tomato aside... though that wasn't intentional)
